A step by step guide to arming and disarming an active deterrent camera
FOR USERS OF THE DMSS APP
Active deterrant cameras can enable warning lights and sirens when the camera detects an event. You have the ability to have this feature turn on, off, or to only operate during set periods. Follow these steps to configure your preferred options using the DMSS app.
Start by opening the DMSS icon on your phone
Once you’re inside the app, look for your NVR name
Tap the three dots on the right to open the Settings menu
Tap Device Details at the bottom of the screen
Now select Arming Settings
You will then see a page showing the current active deterrant state for all cameras
Select Arm, Disarm, or Disarm by Period depending on which option you would like
To Disarm by Period, select the option then select the day of the week you would like to alter and specify the time range using the +Add button
Once you’re happy with what you’ve selected, tap OK then hit Save
Your active deterrance preferences will now be saved
All done, you can now close the app
