A step-by-step guide to adding a new NVR to your app

FOR USERS OF THE DMSS APP

Within the DMSS app you have the ability to connect multiple devices, including Network Video Recorders. This is particularly ideal if you have CCTV at more than one location, for example your home and business.

Follow these steps to add a new NVR to your account in the DMSS app.

  1. Start by opening the DMSS app

  2. Tap the + icon in the top corner of the screen

  3. Select "Scan QR Code"

  4. If you don't have a QR code, tap "Manually Enter Serial Number" at the bottom. You can find the serial number on a sticker, usually located on the underside of the NVR or on your handover documentation

  5. Once scanned on entered, you will be brought to the Add Device screen

  6. On the left-hand menu, choose "NVR/XVR" then select the NVR icon

  7. Choose a name for your device e.g. Home Cameras. This name will appear in your push notifications

  8. Leave the username as admin, unless your installer has advised otherwise

  9. For the password, use the one you created with your installer during set-up. It should be written down on your handover documentation.

  10. If your login details are correct, the app will confirm the connection and your device will now be added to the app
